Remi Hess was a sociology student at Nanterre from 1967 to 1973, when he defended his thesis under the supervision of H. Lefebvre, whose biographer and editor he later became. Professor of Education at the Universities of Reims and Paris 8, he is the heir to the works of G. Lapassade.
