Hélène Thomas is Professor of Political Science at Sciences Po Aix. A sociologist and psychoanalyst, she has already published two reference works on the subject: La production des exclus, Paris, PUF, 1997 (awarded by the Académie des sciences morales et politiques) and Vieillesse dépendante et désinsertion politique, Paris, L'Harmattan, 1996.
