New families, new filiations
In collaboration with Le Carnet PsyOverview
For several years now, the family has been undergoing major transformations. Divorce, assisted reproduction, same-sex parenting, co-parenting, and surrogacy are redefining the boundaries of parenthood and family ties.
The so-called "PMC" family—father, mother, child—has been replaced by a variety of models, raising concerns both for the child’s mental health and for institutional stability.
Are these concerns justified? What are the constants and changes within the family? Toward what form is the family evolving?
