Managing flows in an uncertain world
In collaboration with IQSOGIf there's one characteristic of the transformations that have taken place over the past quarter century, it's the growing complexity and interconnectedness of industrial systems. Starting from the sciences of complexity (Edgar Morin, Jean-Louis Le Moigne...), this is what leads Nathalie Fabbe-Costes (Associate Professor, Aix-Marseille University - CERGAM) to propose an original reading of the company and strategy based on the concept of flow.
In particular, by revisiting logistics through a systemic and circulatory approach, she sheds light on how strategic steering requires a fine-tuned understanding of what circulates - materials, information, values - at all scales of the organization.
This meeting is logically an opportunity to reflect on the issues of transparency, governance and extended responsibility, but also on the need to think of strategy and management no longer under the prism of balance, but as the art of leading collective action in dynamic situations of permanent imbalance.
