« précarité » est utilisé pour décrire des phénomènes
sociaux divers dans nos sociétés contemporaines. Temps partiels,

Aim: To assess the acceptability for GPS to use the French shared
Electronic Health Record (Dossier Médical Partagé, “DMP”) when
caring for Homeless People (HP).Methods: Mixed, sequential,
qualitative-quantitative study. The qualitative phase consisted of
semi-structured interviews with GPs involved in the care of HP.
During the quantitative phase, questionnaires were sent to
150 randomized GPs providing routine healthcare in Marseille.
Social and practical acceptability was studied by means of a Likert
Scale. Results: 19 GPs were interviewed during the qualitative
phase, and 105 GPs answered the questionnaire during the
quantitative phase (response rate: 73%). GPs had a poor knowledge
about DMP. More than half (52.5%) of GPs were likely to effectively
use DMP for HP. GPs felt that the “DMP” could improve continuity,
quality, and security of care for HP. They perceived greater
benefits of the use the DMP for HP than for the general population,
notably in terms of saving time (p = 0.03). However, GPs felt
that HP were vulnerable and wanted to protect their patients; they
worried about security of data storage. GPs identified specific
barriers for HP to use DMP: most of them concerned practical access
for HP to DMP (lack of social security card, or lack of tool for
accessing internet). Conclusion: A shared electronic health record,
such as the French DMP, could improve continuity of care for HP in
France. GPs need to be better informed, and DMP functions need to
be optimized and adapted to HP, so that it can be effectively used
by GPs for HP.

Over-Adaptation of the Homeless In our society, some of the living
conditions of homeless people prevent social workers from helping

to be sheltered in emergency accommodation or because they have

us to put forward this issue. These clear cases of refusal of
accommodation illustrate the real, internalized concept of
psychological survival, a phenomenon which reinforces the idea that
these people are over-adapted to their homeless conditions. We need
to identify these psychological dynamics so that social workers can

This article explores the relevance of the psycho-corporal
mediation that interventions based on social aesthetics allow when
working with the homeless, particularly regarding the specific
nature of their identities and bodies. Based on an ethnographic
survey conducted in an experimental shelter for extremely
marginalized people (named the “Integration Village”), we detail
the health, body, and identity issues related to this type of care.
The scientific literature and the social aestheticians we
interviewed also indicate that the bodily and psychological
dimensions of this type of treatment are closely intertwined. After
specifying the modalities for the implementation of social
aesthetics sessions in the Village, we focus on the perceptions and
expectations of homeless patients toward this potential care
approach. Finally, we observe the effects of a social
aesthetics-based approach on homeless individuals in order to test
the hypothesis that socio-aesthetic care is beneficial to them (at
different levels and in different ways), both in terms of their
relationship with their bodies and their self-esteem.

Too old to attend facilities for people in situations of exclusion,

carried out between November 2018 and October 2019 in emergency
shelters for homeless women in Paris. It highlights the
difficulties in defining and welcoming a population that
institutional and non-governmental actors have not anticipated. Far
from solely welcoming isolated, highly desocialized women who have
been denied accommodation elsewhere or are disconnected from
existing accommodation options, these shelters give visibility to
women who are in a situation of great vulnerability and whose
social characteristics are strikingly different from those of the
men in comparable shelters. Thus, these emergency shelters for
